GAA Table Quiz

Looking for a night out - you may like to come to the Buffers Alley clubhouse on Thursday, 18th January for the Tony Doran annual GAA Table Quiz commencing at 8.30 sharp.  Bring along your friends, make up a table of 4 or you may wish to come along on your own, with the organisers putting tables together.  All in all, it promises to be a great night - some tricky questions for the more experienced but lots of easy ones thrown in for good measure!  Tony will take on the role of Question Master himself.  Entry Fee is €10 with refreshments at the interval and spot prizes too.  All Welcome - spread the word.

Membership Night

A membership Night for GAA, Coiste na nÓg and Camogie will take place in the clubhouse on Fri. 2nd February at 7.30. Members may also join up the various draws on the same night. Please note change of night.  There is also an opportunity for Buffers Alley members to avail of their club Bank Standing Order facility for easy payments. This option is worth considering should you wish to spread payments for 2018 over the calendar year (club draw, membership, model county draw, etc.).  Please email the Treasurer of the club for further details  - treasurer.buffersalley.wexford@gaa.ie

Club Development Draw

Tickets are in circulation for the club monthly draw - €10 per month or €120 for the year.  The draw takes place on the last Thursday of each month with €650 in prizes. All support greatly appreciated from all sections of the club in addition to our loyal supporters of friends of Buffers Alley.

Seana Ghael

Congratulations to Tony Doran who was honoured at last Sunday's Seana Ghael awards in the Ferrycarrig Hotel.

Championship Draw

Excitement is building up in Buffers Alley and all other clubs as we approach the 2018 adult championship draw which will take place in the Talbot Hotel on Sat. 3rd February at 6pm. sharp. The draw will be broadcast live in conjunction with the South East Radio Sport’s Programme.

Club Planning Night

Buffers Alley GAA & Camogie clubs are undertaking the GAA Club Planning Programme with a steering committee in place to bring the project to fruition in the coming months. One of the first steps is to host a workshop for everyone associated in any way with Buffers Alley. The workshop  will take place at Upton Court Hotel, Kilmuckridge and will cover areas such as Adult & Underage games development; Facilities & Development; Communications/PR and Cultural activities; Club Structures & Administration; Finance & Fundraising.  Everyone, whether they are a player, parent, supporter or a former player has a part to play in Planning for the years ahead and steering our club into the future. We are looking for a massive turnout for Upton Court in early February (date to be confirmed shortly).

Hurling 365

There will be an Information Night on Hurling 365 in the Ferrycarrrig Hotel, Wexford on Monday, 22nd January at 7.30 for parents, teachers, coaches, club officials and anyone interested in the promotion of hurling.. The talk will include information and examples on how to establish a club-school link and also further develop existing programmes.  Information on rewards and supports for schools and clubs will also be discussed.  A short discussion forum will  take place at the end of the evening.  This is a night not to be missed for all those who are interested in getting hurling/camogie off to a good start with clubs and schools working as a unit.  Mol an Óige agus tiocfaidh sí.
