Club Open Evening   12/02/2017

On Friday night last  10th March we had a good attendance for our Open Night where our members, players, parents and supporters got an opportunity to come along and sign up for our draws for the coming year in addition to subscribing to their annual membership of the club. This year the club has introduced an easy payment system whereby payments for draws may be made via a monthly Bank Standing Order. Some of the members/parents/players have opted to include membership in this monthly payment as well.

These draws help to defray some of the costs involved in the overall running of Buffers Alley. We now have 3 full size pitches, a state of the art indoor arena and a comfortable, modern clubhouse. Having these facilities incur many day-to-day running expenses, including electricity, heating, gas, insurance, licences, tractor mower, feeding our pitches, maintenance, upkeep of the club plus many more incidental expenses that come the way of all clubs. These costs are not specific to any section of the club but are crucial to the overall running of Buffers Alley.

One of the many attractive easy pay options that members chose last night was the one that included our 3 main draws – Club Development; Model Co. Ticket and the GAA National Draw Ticket. The 3 of these draws are all included in the €15 per month Standing Order. Asking everyone to make a special effort to subscribe to the above. Standing Order forms are available from Áine O’Meara (Treasurer) and the deadline for submitting same is 17th February to allow the payments commence in February and to be included in the first two Club Development draws. The camogie section and Coiste na nÓg section are asked to contact their Treasurers, Frances Doran and Andrew Fenlon respectively or talk to Áine.

Thanking everyone for their ongoing support and looking forward to seeing you all up and around the clubhouse and grounds in the coming weeks
