How to Set Up IPTV on Apple TV

Before You Start

Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD can run IPTV player apps from the App Store. Keep your iPhone nearby: you can use it as a keyboard to enter your login details far more quickly than with the Siri Remote.

1. Install an IPTV player from the App Store

   We recommend GSE Smart IPTV. iPlayTV and IPTVX are popular paid alternatives with a very polished design.

   1. Open the App Store on your Apple TV.
   2. Search for GSE Smart IPTV and select Get.
   3. Open the app once installed.

2. Add your Xtream login

   1. In the app, open the playlist section and choose to add an Xtream Codes (API) login.
   2. Enter a name ("IPTV Éire"), the server URL, your username and password.
   3. Save, then open the playlist to load your channels.
   When the on-screen keyboard appears, your iPhone shows a keyboard notification. Tap it to type on your phone.

3. Load the TV guide (EPG)

   1. Most apps load the guide automatically from your Xtream login.
   2. If the guide is blank, refresh the EPG in the app's settings and restart the app.

Tips for the Best Picture

• Use Ethernet on Apple TV 4K models with a port for the steadiest picture.
• Match frame rate and range: turn on Settings › Video and Audio › Match Content for smoother motion.
• Keep tvOS updated in Settings › System › Software Updates.
• Restart from Settings › System › Restart if apps start to feel sluggish.
