Before You Start

Samsung Smart TVs run Tizen, which supports IPTV player apps from the Samsung app store. You'll need your TV connected to the internet (ideally with an Ethernet cable), a phone or computer to add your playlist, and the login details we send to your WhatsApp.

Smart TV IPTV apps are made by independent developers. Most offer a free trial and then charge their own small activation fee, which is paid to the app developer and is separate from your subscription.

  1. Install IBO Player from the Samsung app store

IBO Player is our recommended app for Samsung TVs: clean, fast and reliable.

    1. Press Home on your remote and open Apps.
    2. Select the search icon, type IBO Player and choose the app.
    3. Select Install, then Open.
  2. Note your MAC address and device key

The app's start screen shows two codes that link your TV to your playlist.

    1. Open IBO Player and find the MAC address and device key on the start screen.
    2. Write them down or take a photo with your phone.
Codes are case-sensitive. A photo avoids typos.
  3. Add your playlist on the IBO Player website

Typing long logins with a TV remote is painful, so you add your playlist online instead.

    1. On your phone or computer, open the IBO Player official website (shown on the app's start screen) and go to the playlist or "manage device" page.
    2. Enter the MAC address and device key exactly as shown on your TV.
    3. Add a playlist using the Xtream details (server URL, username, password) or the M3U link we sent you, and name it "IPTV Éire".
    4. Save your changes.
  4. Restart the app and start watching

    1. Fully close IBO Player and open it again.
    2. Select your IPTV Éire playlist. Live TV, films and series will load.
  5. Load the TV guide (EPG)

The guide usually appears within a few minutes of the first load.

    1. If it stays blank, open the app's settings and choose Reload or Refresh EPG.
    2. Check your TV's clock is correct in Settings › General › System Manager › Time (menu names vary by model).

Tips for the Best Picture

  • Use Ethernet. TV Wi-Fi chips are often weaker than streaming sticks, so a cable makes a big difference.
  • Keep your TV updated in Settings › Support › Software Update.
  • Restart the TV fully now and then by holding the power button until the logo appears.
  • For 4K, make sure you're on a 4K channel and have 25 Mbps or more.

Samsung Smart TV Troubleshooting

IBO Player isn't in my TV's app store

App availability depends on your TV's model, age and region. Message us for an alternative app, or plug in an Amazon Firestick, which supports every major IPTV app.

"Playlist not found" or nothing loads

Check that the MAC address and device key on the website match your TV exactly, re-enter the server URL with no spaces, then restart the app.

The picture keeps buffering

Connect the TV with an Ethernet cable, restart your router and close other heavy downloads in the house.

The TV guide is empty

Refresh the EPG in the app's settings and make sure your TV's time zone is set to Ireland (Dublin).
