The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is one of the most popular ways to watch IPTV in Ireland: it's affordable, fast and plugs into any TV with an HDMI port. Here's the quickest way to get your IPTV subscription running on it. For screenshots and extra detail, see our full Firestick setup guide.
Check your Firestick model first
Most Fire TV devices run Fire OS, which lets you install IPTV apps with the free Downloader app. Some of Amazon's newest models run a different system (Vega OS) that only allows apps from the Amazon Appstore. To check, go to Settings › My Fire TV › About. If your device runs Fire OS, you're good to go.
For 4K you'll need a Fire TV Stick 4K, 4K Max or Fire TV Cube, a 4K TV, and a connection of 25 Mbps or more.
The 5-minute install

- Minute 3: allow Downloader. Go back to My Fire TV › Developer Options › Install unknown apps and switch Downloader On.

TiviMate or IPTV Smarters?
TiviMate has the best-looking TV guide and feels most like a traditional set-top box. Its premium features need a paid upgrade from the developer. IPTV Smarters Pro is simpler and quicker to set up, ideal if you just want to log in and watch. You can install both and choose later. Our app comparison explains the differences in detail.
How to make sure you're watching in 4K
- Plug the Firestick into an HDMI port that supports 4K/HDCP 2.2 on your TV (often labelled on the back).
- Go to Settings › Display & Sounds › Display › Video Resolution and choose Auto or 4K. On older software this menu is called "Display & Audio".
- Choose a channel or title that's actually broadcast in 4K. Many channels are FHD.
- Use an Ethernet adapter or 5 GHz Wi-Fi for a steady 25 Mbps+.
