March GAA Membership Month
While players and mentors are still waiting to get back out on the playing fields, there is a glimmer of hope that a return to play will be under discussion soon. When the decision is made, we plan to hit the ground running and be ready for what we hope will be a comprehensive calendar of games for all ages.
As is the case every year, as soon as we hit the month of March, we know it is Membership Month. Under normal circumstances, group training would be well underway and league matches would be testing players’ early season fitness. Currently, individual plans are the order of the day until team training can begin.
Many of our Social Members are already signed up and have been using the track for their daily fitness regime since the New Year began. Social membership can be activated at any stage of the year and we are delighted to welcome new members.
For the month of March, the attention of players automatically turns to signing up for the year so they are ready to go for the season ahead. All membership details for adult and underage players are available via our ClubForce Online Payment System which has proven very popular with those who have already submitted their membership or club draw payments for 2021. A receipt is issued once payment is submitted and your details will be entered on the new nationwide GAA Foireann System which all players must be registered on.
Monthly Club Draw winners 2021
The March monthly draw will take place on Thursday next 25th March where €650 will be paid out to the lucky winners. There is still time to join up for the remaining ten months for €100 or pay monthly/quarterly. Contact John Farrell or Leonard Lacey or pay on the club’s online platform ClubForce.
Community Walking Track
Our newly extended (1.2km) walking track is lit up to 10pm. seven days of the week and is a great asset to the local area. This latest community facility offers a safe area to exercise, whether it be walking, jogging or running. Only Guide or Assistive Dogs are allowed. Currently the clubs pitches are out of bounds and will remain so until such time as the GAA gives us the green light to move forward. Please adhere to the Government and GAA regulations and continue to observe social distancing.
