BUFFERS ALLEY

Buffers Alley GAA Golf Classic

Coiste na Og will host a GOLF CLASSIC in Blackwater Golf Club on Saturday 9th Jan. It would be appreciated if you would consider registering a team (3 members) - €75 for an adult team and €30 for a juvenile team (U18). The organising committee would also appreciate sponsorship of holes at a cost of €100. This year, due to Covid, it will not be possible to have the usual fringe events, TOC’s delicious burgers and the chat in the clubhouse! All support appreciated as this is Coiste na Og’s only fundraiser in 2020. Contact Robbie Kirwan, Willie Doran or John O’Sullivan who will put your name on the timesheet.

Membership

Membership payment options are now available through our online platform Clubforce.

In addition to the player membership, it is hoped that as many people as possible register for the Social/Non-Player option. The social membership is useful should you wish to be included for ticket allocations draws, vote at meetings while several people join up just to be part of their GAA Club. 2020 was a difficult one for a lot of people but Buffers Alley members linked up with their local businesses and charitable organisations to assist those in need.

Club Monthly Draw Tickets

As we move towards 2021, the monthly draw tickets are in circulation via the regular promoters or you may choose the online option. With other major events such as Shedfest put on hold due to Covid, this is the only fundraiser that pays the day today club expenses excluding the staging of games.

Club Vouchers

The club is now selling Vouchers should you wish to purchase one for a family member or friend. Basically, this is how it works! On our online platform Clubforce there are options to purchase a yearly subscription to our Monthly Club Draw (€120), Club and County Tickets (€50) in addition to the GAA National Draw (€10) with great opportunities to win excellent prizes. Once you have this transaction completed, the club will get a notification and contact you immediately regarding the collection of the voucher.

AGMs

The Coiste na Og end of year meeting (online this year) is scheduled for Wed. 6th Jan. with the adult AGM (online also) to take place on Sat. 9th January. If you are interested in helping with our underage boys whether it be on the field of play or in the background, please send an email to secretarybng.buffersalley.wexford@gaa.ie The club is always on the lookout for people with skills that can assist the club in any capacity and welcome new faces on board. At adult level, nomination forms will be emailed and distributed in advance of the AGM.

Walking Track

Our community walking track has become a very popular venue for people of all ages to walk, jog or run in a safe environment. The track extending around the perimeters of our three pitches is lit up from 4pm. to 8pm. daily seven days of the week and a warm welcome is extended to everyone in the community.

Wexford GAA Year Book 2020

The Wexford GAA Year Book is now in circulation and can be purchased in all Eason’s Bookshops in the county.

Christmas Greetings

Buffers Alley send good wishes for Christmas to all past and present members both at home at abroad.  Let’s hope 2021 brings good news all around.
