First Ever Easter Camp a great success
26/04/2019
Buffers Alley held their first ever Easter GAA Camp last week with over 120 children participating. The camp was for local club members aged 7 to 13 years with a varied focus on ABCs (Agility, Balance, and Co-Ordination) to all the technical skill aspects of Hurling and Gaelic Football.
Mixed weather over the week didn’t deter the volunteer coaches or the children, as the superb Buffers Alley Indoor Arena was used as required to ensure the coaching and fun games were delivered each day. The highlight of the week for the children was the visit of Wexford Senior hurling stars Liam Ryan and Kevin Foley. Both men were very generous with their time in giving training advice, answering questions during a Q&A session and signing numerous autographs on hurls and jerseys.
Cate Donohoe Chairperson commended Robbie Kirwan, John Moran and their team of enthusiastic volunteers who gave so willingly of their time over the Easter break to provide a skills-based camp with lots fun and games over the three days. She also welcomed recently appointed GPO, Neil McCrea to Buffers Alley and thanked him for his invaluable assistance at the Buffers Alley Easter Camp.
