Well done to our senior hurlers who recorded a victory v Kilcormac Killoughey (Offaly) in the final of the Div. 1 Leinster hurling league played in Portlaoise on Sun. 28th May at 12 noon (curtain raiser to the Wexford v Laois senior hurling championship) with the scoreboard reading 2-18 to 0-16.

On route to the final, the Alley boys recorded wins over Mount Leinster Rangers; Ferns-St. Aidan’s and St. Vincent’s. They had a victory v Kilmacud Crokes in the Quarter-Finals and Ballyboden-St. Enda's in the semi-final. They men displayed great grit and determination, with this being particularly evident in the closing 10 minutes when our opponents came right back into the game.

Special mention to the 29 man panel, their team management and backroom team of Aidan O’Connor, Robbie Kirwan, Pat Doran, Séan Foxe, Diarmuid O’Hanlon, Eddie Flynn, Fintan Farrell, Ger Murphy, Kevin Hall and Pat Kenny who have all worked tirelessly since the beginning of the year.

Ciarán Kenny, the proud captain accepted the Div. 1 Leinster League cup from Cathaoirleach of Comhairle Laighean, Jim Bolger.
